Privacy and cookies
Clear information about the account, technical, moderation, and support data PixelPulse uses to operate a safe community.
Overview
PixelPulse is a gaming community. The PixelPulse community administration operates pixelpulse.gg and is responsible for the personal data described in this notice.
This notice applies to the PixelPulse website, accounts, community features, support requests, and moderation records. Discord, game platforms, and other external services have their own privacy notices when you choose to use them.
Need to contact us or exercise a privacy right? Email info@pixelpulse.gg or use the private route on the contact and appeals page.
Information we handle
- Account and profile data: display name, login name, email address, password hash, avatar, profile preferences, verification state, and linked account identifiers when you choose to connect another service.
- Technical and security data: IP address, device and session details, login timestamps, action logs, diagnostic information, and security events used to operate and protect the service.
- Community activity: profile content and information submitted through website features that are enabled for members.
- Support and moderation data: account identifiers, report details, case references, staff notes, correspondence, and evidence voluntarily submitted for a report or appeal.
Do not post reports, personal information, or sensitive evidence in public Discord channels.
How and why we use data
PixelPulse uses personal data to:
- create and operate member accounts and provide requested website features;
- secure accounts, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and enforce community rules;
- respond to support requests, reports, appeals, and privacy requests;
- maintain reliable logs, backups, and service diagnostics; and
- meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims when necessary.
Depending on the context, processing is based on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating a safe community, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent for an optional feature. Consent can be withdrawn for future processing where consent is the legal ground.
PixelPulse does not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Automated security or server signals may be reviewed by staff as part of a decision.
Sharing and external services
Access is limited to staff who need the information for their role. Data may also be processed by hosting, infrastructure, email, security, or other service providers that help operate PixelPulse. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect members, the service, or legal rights.
PixelPulse does not sell or rent personal data. When you follow a link to Discord, Steam, a game service, or another external platform, that provider controls its own processing. Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area under their own transfer safeguards and terms.
Retention
Data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, account operation, security, dispute resolution, and applicable legal obligations.
- Account data is generally kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period after closure when needed for security, recovery, or legal records.
- Resolved moderation records are reviewed after 12 months. Evidence supporting an active restriction may be retained while the restriction remains relevant.
- Session information expires when the session ends. Preference and remember-me cookies expire according to the table below.
- Backup and diagnostic copies are removed through normal rotation schedules unless preservation is required for an active incident or legal claim.
Your rights and requests
Where data-protection law applies, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and review of relevant automated decisions. These rights can be limited in specific circumstances, including security, the rights of others, and legal claims.
Email info@pixelpulse.gg with the subject Privacy request, or use the private route on the contact page. Do not send identity documents or other sensitive information through a public channel. PixelPulse may request reasonable verification before disclosing or changing account data. Requests are handled without undue delay and, where the GDPR applies, normally within one month.
You may also complain to the data-protection supervisory authority where you live or work, or where you believe an infringement occurred.
Changes to this notice
PixelPulse may update this notice when services, providers, laws, or community operations change. The current version and update date will remain published on this page.
